LEATHER DEVELOPMENT
We use a polymer- and silicon-based technology in leather hydrophobing to reduce the surface tension without obstructing the interfiber pores or canals and to thus obtain a high degree of resistance to water and to steam.
Our technology enables us to achieve 15,000 flexes in the MAESER penetration test, quite above international standards (ASTM 2099-70).

LEATHER DEVELOPMENT
FIRE RETARDANT
The fire-retardant products used by Melero make our leathers very safe. They initially inhibit the spread of flames, and in a fire, the flame-retardants isolate the material from the flame to minimize the release of toxic smoke and gas.
Our company is in compliance with the following tests:
ISO 12952-1 and 2: Ignition source: smoldering cigarette.
CSE RF 4/83: Does not ignite under 40 mm of flame for 20, 80 and 240 seconds.
LEATHER DEVELOPMENT
WASHABLE
We have a production line of washable leathers. Thanks to our formulations and combined with anilines obtained from new technologies, our dyed and finished leathers have been made very resistant to friction and sweat and can be washed by machine.
